According to scrum’s canonical definition, scrum is only applied when its events 8E1B, artifacts 8E1C, and roles 8E1E are in place. Anything less misses critical aspects of the intent 8E1A. Scrum can be augmented by any number of auxiliary tools, processes, and philosophies 8E1H. It explicitly leaves holes in its approach for teams to address their own particular needs 8E1G1.
