Defining teams.

Teams collaborate directly via mutually dependent work which is executed simultaneously. A sports analogy of a team is basketball, where the whole group focuses on the goals and strategy, relying on each other as part of their efforts. (Contrast working groups, which operate more like golf.)rL1
