Scrum does not apply to all situations and will show friction points when ill-applied.

Signs of poor fit include:

  • Sprint plan includes space to accommodate unknowns.
  • Sprints are frequently canceled for unforeseen work.
  • Sprint backlog changes frequently.
  • Team is resigned to always having work to carry into next sprint.
